Omega-3 Fish Oil

Softgels of concentrated fish oil, measured by the EPA and DHA on the label rather than the total oil. Nordic Naturals is the reference brand; lemon-flavoured ones don't repeat.

  • EPA + DHA stated
  • Softgels
  • Lemon flavour option

Why you’d want it: One of the two or three supplements almost every diet plan lists, and the one where quality differences are real and visible on the label.

Picking tip: Ignore '1000 mg fish oil' on the front and add up the EPA and DHA on the back; a good softgel carries 500 mg or more of the two together, a cheap one 300. Keep the bottle in the fridge once opened — rancid fish oil is what gives the supplement its reputation.

Supplements are food, not medicine: nothing here treats or prevents anything. If you take any medicine, ask a pharmacist first.
